They are bowing to the almighty dollar, of course, like everyone else. I do not know why people refuse to see this, but they do, and so on. I stack them all in a vast network and suppress the reality of these things that people can in the 24 / 7 and can avoid rolling the rest of us.
The least we can do is change their titles to the network to inform us. For example, MTV has little to do with the music more, A & E has done nothing to do with art and very little to do with entertainment, and The Learning Channel is a very bad joke.
Among the reality shows, and wading in juiciness vacation this time of year is a stuggle to find something to wrap a brain cell! LOL
